You've waited a long time for this and it's finally here. Book 5 in the Confluence series. VENGEANCE is available for Kindle. We're powering ever closer to the big finale when Jane and Darcy come together to fight their ultimate foes. But there is still an important story to tell before we get to that point. And this is it. This book was a labor of love for me--I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed crafting it. Five years have passed since Darcy Eberhardt left Raub for dead on Ulream. Darcy and her ragtag multispecies crew have used those years well, searching for her lost love, Adam, throughout the disreputable fringes of galactic society—though the odds are stacked against them. Along the way, they liberate the vulnerable and accumulate allies, some of them dubious. Meanwhile, Darcy continues to master her newfound powers in secret. A cryptic message raises a ghost from the past to haunt her, forcing her to a crossroads that could lead to a reunion with Adam, or keep him forever beyond her reach. As always, I'll remind you that I'm an independent publisher. That means a variety of things. For one, I don't have a big marketing machine behind me to ensure my success. I do what I can, but in reality I depend on you to spread the word about the books you love. Research shows that people take word of mouth book recommendations far more seriously than any other form, so tell your friends, families and coworkers about all the books you love, including this one, if that ends up being true.
It also means that I just completed the work on the several layers of professional editing on this book. It became a final product when I hit the publish button late last night. That means the audio book has yet to be begun. It will begin production as soon as I get all the particulars lined up with the professional narrator. I'm hoping to get the same narrator for this one who performed Inheritance (previously titled The Druid Gene). The work on formatting the paperback of this book is still underway. You should see that appear on various sales sites and available to small bookstores within a week or so. That's it for now. More updates will follow as they are relevant. Read on!

Congratulations on the release! I am eagerly awaiting the print and audiobook version. I still remember the day that I stumbled across Fluency. After that you have easily became one of my favorite authors. Keep up the good work but don’t burn yourself out.

Love the new book! Hate the new Amazon review process where they have to email you a code or something before you can review. Can't wait for the next one.

Thank you for the 5 Confluence books so far. I enjoyed them immensely. So sorry to hear about your shutdown and health issues, and your narrator's similar shutdown. It is now June 2020 and EVERYBODY is finding out what shutdown feels like, thanks to COVID-19. I usually use Kindle's Immersion reading, but for Vengeance, I had "Alexa, read my Kindle book Vengeance" while I paged along in Kindle on my PC. Take care of yourself first and publish Convergence when you can. Nudge your narrators, too, but be gentle with them. I waited 5 years after the next to last book in the series for Piers Anthony to finish "Bio of a Space Tyrant" and damn him if he didn't completely flip his main character from being a tyrant into a good guy! The book didn't even feel like part of the same series! You are now my (currently) fourth most favorite author, but please don't feel slighted. My 1, 2, and 3 favorites are #1 L.E.Modesitt Jr., #2 J.D.Robb (yes, Nora Roberts, but I only like her "In Death" series that she publishes under the pseudonym), and #3 Anne McCaffrey. At this point, I have ALL of the books (Kindle AND Audible) of Mr. Modesitt's. I also have ALL of the "In Death" series by J.D.Robb - in both formats. I really do love using Kindle's Immersion reading. Alexa's text to speech is OK, but not really very satisfying for entertainment books and breaks the mood of the stories quite often. The worst example of Alexa's reading a Kindle book is when it tries (and fails horribly) to read "Through Wolf's Eyes" by Jane Lindskold (my #5 author). The attempted wolf howl in the very first sentence gets read aloud by Alexa as simply a series of long vowel sounded individual letters A, A, A, A, O, O, O, O, W and made me stop right there. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.. Jane does not have any of the "Firekeeper" series in Audible format (yet?)
